FUELING THE FUTURE: PEACE OR CONFLICT?
Room 120, Communications Building, University of Washington Seattle, WA

The World Affairs Council (WAC) and East Asia Resource Center (EARC) invite educators to explore the future of energy consumption with a special focus on China. This workshop concludes the four-part Fueling the Future workshop series organized by the WAC. The keynote speaker, David Bachman, Professor and Associate Director of the Jackson School, will give an overview of China’s fast-growing economy and its increasing reliance on energy. Finally the WAC and the EARC will share new teaching resources including a new Global Classroom student magazine featuring China, a new CBA Bridging Document, and related films.
