  • Dramas of Haymarket offers an interpretive presentation of a variety of primary sources and puts them into historical context. Presented in the form of a drama with prologue, five acts, and an epilogue, the Dramas of Haymarket is a complete chronological account of the events of the period. History teachers and students alike will find this site a wonderful supplement to the study of the United States during this period. Included are virtual tours of the Haymarket area and Forest Home Cemetery, audio and video clips, original news articles, and photographs.


  • Invention Factory: Thomas Edison contains photographs, maps, & readings about the laboratories & the process of turning research into commercial products. (NPS)


  • Mark Twain. This page lists resources by or about Mark Twain. They range from texts of his books to an analysis of his character's appearance on Star Trek: The Next Generation. The site includes all of the annotated links to online resources by and about Mark Twain that the old site contained, plus weekly feature articles about him, an events calendar, and more on the way.

  • Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild is in the process of transcribing the manifest of ships that came to American ports. This list will identify the ship, port of arrival and departure, as well as the passengers.
