Many of you who have received my messages in the past teach, middle
school, or underachieving high school students and my US History
lesson-chapters which were designed for high school pupils may not have met
your needs. Now, with the assistance of Dr. Geoffrey Tegnell, K-12
Curriculum Coordinator for the Brookline, Massachusetts schools, I have
re-written a number of lesson-chapters covering the Colonial Period and the
American Revolution. I am prepared to send them free of charge via email to
anyone who may wish to use them. The following, designed especially for
grades 7 and 8, but at an interest level suitable for high school students,
are ready for prime time:

  British Mercantilism and American Trade
Government in the Colonies and in England
  Social Class in Colonial America
The Stamp Act and Virtual Representation
  The Boston Massacre Trial
The Tea party and the Intolerable Acts
The State of Nature and the Social Contract
  The Battle of Lexington

If you choose to request one or all of the above, will also send you a
notice that the next batch of lesson-chapters (covering the Critical Era,
the Constitution, and the Federalist Era) is available. I hope to rewrite
the remainder of my materials in time for you to use before the end of this
school year.

If you are still interested in my high school curriculum, you may ask for
any one of the following free units which will be sent via email in PDF
format and cover:

      The Colonial Era
Re-enacting the Constitution Convention, and the Federalist Era
Events leading to the Civil War
      Reconstruction,
    The Industrial Revolution
The Progressive Era and Foreign Policy, 1898-1920
The Twenties and the New Deal
World War II and the Cold War
The Civil Rights Movement and the War in Vietnam.

With Best Wishes for a Successful Year,

  Tom Ladenbug
