SERVICE LEARNING SYMPOSIUM

Friday, February 22, 2008

8am-3pm

 

Exciting and informative service learning sessions and networking for
teachers and community partners! Workshops will focus on social justice,
civic engagement, the Green Schools initiative, local food, service learning
how-tos, national standards, and other topics. Keynote Speaker is David
Korten, author of The Great Turning: From Empire to Earth Community.

The John Stanford Center for Educational Excellence-Seattle Public Schools

Third Avenue South and South Lander, Seattle (General directions

Registration
Registration for the Symposium includes lunch. Cost is $15.00 by end of day
February 19, $25.00 after February 19 and at the door (specific lunch
preference not guaranteed). Clock hours will be available through Seattle
Public Schools. Make checks out to Seattle Public Schools.
