-Please excuse cross postings-

Don't miss the next two fall programs at the Washington State Library!

The next event is a brown bag presentation this Thursday, November 13,
2008 at 12:10 PM, featuring WSL's own Carolyn Petersen and Kathryn
Hamilton Wang. Carolyn, Assistant Program Manager for Library
Development, and Kathryn, recently retired from her position as
Northwest and Historical Collections Outreach Coordinator, will share
some of their favorite books with Pacific Northwest themes that you may
have missed. Artists, adventurers, bad cops, polar bears, and alien
archaeologists await! The event will be in Room 221.

Mark your calendars for an evening event on Wednesday, November 19,
2008, at 6:30 PM. Jeff Davis and Al Eufrasio, authors of the book "Weird
Washington," will share a few of their favorite stories from their
exploration of the weird and wonderful landmarks Washington has to
offer. Come to learn about the unique places in Washington that are
waiting to be enjoyed! Doors will open at 6:00 PM and the event will be
held in the 2nd floor reading room. Seating is limited and is on a
first-come basis.

A popular Government, without popular information, or the means of
acquiring it, is but a prologue to a farce or a tragedy; or, perhaps,
both. -- James Madison
