With the WSCSS Fall Inservice on Saturday, it is time for a final update to
help everyone be ready to get the most out of the conference. An updated
schedule and detailed description of each session is now available on
wscss.org on the fall inservice page.
In previous announcements our keynote speaker, Helen Thayer, was profiled. I
mentioned that she has written several books. She will have those books
available for purchase at the inservice. Please bring cash or a check to
purchase a book! Prices are as follows:
Polar Dream $16.00
Three among the Wolves$19.00
Walking the Gobi $25.00
If you are wishing to attend the Civic Mirror sessions, please be prepared
with a Wi-Fi enabled laptop. the second session will be dedicated to digging
into the simulation through actually using it, so a laptop will be needed
for each interested participant.
One thing that I left off the detailed description (but will be in the
printed version) is announcing that the Giant Map of Washington will be
featured during session 2. Experience the Geography of Washington in a BIG
way as you explore the giant map in the Great Hall. Find out how you can
bring this experience to your school!
We are excited to see you on Saturday!
