[WSCSS] Invitation to Civic Education Day at the Capitol, January 25th

current and future teachers are invited to civic Education Day at the
Capitol

 

The Washington State Legislature invites you to join in celebrating the
fourth annual Washington State Civic Education Day!

 

Monday, January 25, 2010, 9am-3pm, Legislative Building, Capitol Rotunda

 

Civic Education Day recognizes the importance of civic education and all
those involved. Display tables will be set up around the rotunda in the
Legislative Building providing information about programs that promote
civic education. The Senate and House of Representatives will recognize
Civic Education Day by a resolution, and participants will be recognized
on the Floor of both chambers.  Interactive classroom activities on
lawmaking and a legislative hearing will be demonstrated, and tours of
the Capital and Page School offered. A luncheon will feature a prominent
civic education speaker, and an award ceremony to honor the Washington
State Legislature's Civic Educator of the Year. If you plan to attend,
