FULBRIGHT-HAYS SEMINAR IN JAPAN FOR WASHINGTON TEACHERS
Washington teachers are invited to apply for an opportunity to spend four weeks in Japan in the summer of 2010. This seminar is made possible by grants from the Freeman Foundation and the Fulbright-Hays Program. Sponsored by the East Asia Resource Center at the University of Washington and the Hyogo Business and Cultural Center, the seminar will start in Washington's sister state, Hyogo Prefecture, followed by two weeks of educational travel to other parts of Japan. Both parts of the seminar will address themes that are key to understanding contemporary Japan and the underlying history shaping the Japan of today.
A program description including an application form is now posted on the EARC website: jsis.washington.edu/earc/. Please note the eligibility requirements that result from Fulbright-Hays funding and feel free to write to earc at uw.edu with any questions. Completed applications are due on February 12, 2010.
