Wonderful Washington Teachers,
A couple of TV specials are either ongoing or coming up that can help
to spur interest in doing historical or genealogical research in your
students (or yourselves).
Faces of America - PBS special (started Feb 10 and airs every Wednesday
night at 8PM on KCTS. The final episode airs this Wednesday night (DNA
genealogy). Past episodes and educational resources are available at
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/facesofamerica/category/for-educators/
Who Do You Think You Are? - which premieres on NBC Friday, March 5 at 8
PM.
And remember ... if your students are doing family history or any other
kind of American History, we are here to help. We have millions of
primary sources and people who know how to use them who can help you
and/or your students. All free (except the cost of copies) and in the
public domain.
Contact me for more information about how we can help you in the
classroom.
